I’ve been making my own Kimchi for the last 10 years because I’ve never found anything I liked but that’s all changed now that I’ve discovered Korea Kimchi. This stuff is absolutely delicious!!! I started off a bit sceptical but OMG I love it. It’s safe to say I won’t be making my own any more.

This is normal! it's likely due to the gases produced during the fermentation process. Kimchi undergoes fermentation as the beneficial lactic acid bacteria present in the vegetables consume sugars and produce gases, primarily carbon dioxide. This is a normal part of the fermentation process.
Just because it's fermented doesn't mean kimchi won't go bad eventually. However, the signs of it going "bad" might not be as obvious as with fresh veggies and other refrigerated goods. When kimchi become sour, we recommend making kimchi soup or kimchi pancake.
