Shipping policy

Since the COVID-19 health crisis, our couriers moved to ZERO contact deliveries. This means all deliveries will be send out with ATL (Authority to Leave). The Driver will the package in a safe place and a photo will be taken of the item at the door. Thank you for visiting and shopping at Koreakimchi. The following terms and conditions constitute our Shipping Policy

- Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for Your Orders will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

1. Shipping Cost & Free Shipment

Melbourne -Shipment cost: from $7.30, Free on over $80
Sydney -Shipment cost: from $8.70, Free on over $120
Other Metro Areas and VIC, NSW -Shipment cost: from $12.30, Free on over $120
Other Areas -Shipment cost: from $13.70, Free on over $160

2. Shipping Business Days

Melbourne Metro, Sydney Metro: 1-3 days
Other Metro Areas: 2-4 days
Non-Metro Areas: 3 to 7 days
(Rural areas may take up to 7 days, depending on location)

3. Dispatch days

Delivery times vary depending on the destination. Please refer to the information below for general guidance:

Monday: Orders placed before 11am are dispatched the same day.
Tuesday: Orders placed before 11am are dispatched the same day (except orders with a delivery time of 4 days or more).
Wednesday: Orders with a delivery time of 2 days or less are dispatched the same day.
Thursday: Orders with a delivery time of 1 day are dispatched the same day.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: No dispatch.

Note: After Wednesday, all orders from other states will be shipped the following Monday due to the shipping couriers' business days. Also, orders placed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday.

4. Click & Collect

We offer free pick up at our warehouse at U8, 153-155 Rooks road, Vermont 3133 during business hours Monday - Friday 9am - 4.00pm.
All orders need to be placed on online. When your order’s ready to collect we’ll send you an email. Only go to the store once you receive this ‘Ready to collect’ notification.

- Shipment Processing Times

All Orders are processed within 1-4 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. If We are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of Your Order, We will contact You via email or mobile.

Order Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation Email once Your Order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Packaging Guideline For Other States

Kimchi will be packed in a plastic bag, with dry ice packs (FDA-approved materials) added, and wrapped in insulated bubble wrap.

*Note
Kimchi will be sent via shipping couriers without a chiller. However, it won't spoil during delivery as kimchi is fermented food. You might notice that a plastic bag is bloated or there are bubbles in a jar. Kimchi undergoes fermentation as the beneficial lactic acid bacteria present in the vegetables consume sugars and produce gases, primarily carbon dioxide. This is a normal part of the fermentation process.
