Is it safe to ship kimchi?
Yes — every order is guaranteed.
Each jar is double-wrapped and placed inside a chiller box with FDA-approved dry ice packs. Because kimchi is naturally fermented, it doesn't need refrigerated freight and travels safely with our regular courier partners across Australia.
If your order ever arrives in poor condition, we'll replace it or refund you in full. Freshness is guaranteed.
Note: we're currently unable to deliver to P.O. boxes.
Shipping Rate Update
Effective 29 June 2026, shipping rates for orders sent via StarTrack have been updated due to the annual carrier price increase.
As this is a direct carrier cost adjustment, the updated shipping charges will automatically apply to all applicable StarTrack shipments from 29 June 2026 onward.
Shipping rates and delivery estimates
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout. We also offer free shipping Australia-wide on larger orders for a limited time.
Delivery fees were updated from 12 January 2026 to reflect the ongoing cost of insulated packaging, ice packs, and refrigerated-style handling that keeps your kimchi fresh in transit.

Transit times: Next-day delivery takes 1–2 days via StarTrack. Victorian standard orders take 1–2 days via Aramex or StarTrack.
Dispatch schedule
- Monday: orders placed before 11am dispatch same day.
- Tuesday: orders placed before 11am dispatch same day, except those with 4+ day delivery windows.
- Wednesday: orders with a 2-day or shorter delivery window dispatch same day.
- Thursday: orders with a 1-day delivery window dispatch same day (Victoria-only next-day orders placed before 10am).
- Friday – Sunday: no dispatch. Orders placed these days, and most interstate orders placed after Wednesday, go out the following Monday.

Processing times
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days and aren't shipped on weekends or public holidays. During busy periods, processing may take a little longer — we'll reach out by email or phone if there's a significant delay.
Bulk kimchi (5kg and 10kg) is made to order, so processing may take extra time.
Order confirmation and tracking
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order is on its way. Tracking becomes active within 24 hours. We ship with Aramex, TNT, and StarTrack.
How we pack your kimchi
Every order is double-wrapped in a secure bag and packed with FDA-approved dry ice inside a chiller box to lock in freshness during transit.
No cold freight is needed — kimchi is a naturally fermented food, so it stays safe even with standard courier delivery.
If you notice the bag swelling or bubbles in the jar, there's no need to worry: live lactic acid bacteria are breaking down natural sugars in the vegetables and releasing CO₂ as part of healthy fermentation.
